The story
Not marketing. The real one.
It was never lost, it was just quiet
Locals have swum here for a century. It does not appear on the state waterfall map because the association asked, twice, to be left off it. What you're reading is published with their permission and their rules attached.
The logging road that saved it
The spur road washed out in 1978 and the town never rebuilt it. That single act of neglect is the reason the gorge still has old hemlock, clean water, and no parking lot.
Why we're careful about this one
RoamJack lists hidden gems only with the guardian's consent, and only with the rules front and center. If the trail degrades, this page comes down. That is the agreement, in writing.
